My Ministry
My work at Christ Our Hope centers on helping young people grow into mature, committed members of Christ's church. That includes teaching Sunday School, leading our weekly youth ministry, discipling students, developing leaders, organizing retreats and service opportunities, and helping students build meaningful relationships within the broader congregation.
My desire is not simply to build a successful youth program. I want students to understand that they belong to the church now, to know and love God's Word, and to develop patterns of discipleship and church involvement that will continue into adulthood.
Preparing for Pastoral Ministry
I am also continuing my formal preparation for pastoral ministry. I am under the care of Eastern Carolina Presbytery and am completing my undergraduate studies before beginning graduate theological education.
These years of ministry are therefore both active service and preparation: learning to teach faithfully, shepherd people well, work alongside the elders of the church, and grow in the ordinary responsibilities of pastoral ministry.
Why Reliant?
Christ Our Hope is not currently able to fund a full-time pastoral position for my ministry. Through Reliant, I am developing a team of churches and individuals who partner financially and prayerfully so that I can devote more of my working week to ministry.
Reliant provides the organizational structure for that partnership while my actual ministry remains rooted in and accountable to Christ Our Hope Church.
